Tom Lowlor with a two year ban.

News announced recently about Tom Lowlor's positive drugs test violation back on October 10th 2016 reveals Lowlor himself has since been honest and upfront about what was found in his system. On Friday 24th Feb 2017 the USADA (US Anti Doping Agency) named the banned substance as Ostarine.

According to MMAFighting, Ostarine is a selective androgen receptor module (SARM) giving the same benefits as anobolic steroids, retaining and producing lean muscle. The substance is not aavilable on perscription in the USA and any unauthorised use may cause serious side effects.

Lowlor recently lost at UFC 196 last March after a close decision to Corey Anderson and will not be eligble to fight until October 2018
